RTK Connect

RTK stands for Real Time Kinematic. For certain precision agriculture applications such as row crop bed preparation and planting or topographic map generation, submeter DGPS accuracy is not enough. That's where centimeter-level solutions using Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) can give you even greater accuracy, as well as huge savings in time and money.

Clicking the link below will bring a demonstration of the RTK system in use. In the video it is coupled with the EZ Steer 500. After watching the video there are many other GPS Services videos for your viewing.

Myths

Myth: Cell phones continuously drop calls. The signal will be dropped.

Fact: The data being transmitted with RTK Connect only requires 1/10 the signal strength of voice data.

Myth: There are no reference stations in the area. It will not work.

Fact: The CRS VRS works with the six nearest reference stations. If there is a reference station within 30 miles, the system will connect

and Facts

Myth: The reference station and system will not be maintained.

Fact: These systems are very important to the DOT and are maintained by the state. If one station is down, it picks up a signal from another station Thus, decreasing down time.

RTK Connect

Consider this…

Inject fertilizer in a subsurface band using RTK Connect guidance. Work the soil to prepare a seedbed. Plant right over the band of fertilizer, or if you prefer plant two inches to the side of the band. You can do this with RTK Connect.  Imagine the savings, and think of the improvement in yield.  This is the future of efficient crop production.
